Very curious, the nurse asked the head
nurse, "Why does Dr. Wilson keep doing that?"
"Oh, just ignore him, the head nurse said. He thinks
he calls all the shots around here."

came upon a farmer working in his field. The man
called out to the farmer, "How long will it take me
to get to the next town?"
The farmer didn't answer. The guy waited a bit and
then started walking again.
After the man had gone about a hundred yards, the
farmer yelled out, "About 20 minutes."
"Thank you. But why didn't you tell me that when I
asked you?"
"Didn't know how fast you were walking.
Oh my! Sighed a wife one morning. I think that my

Are You Sure
You Are A True Christian?
What a question to be asking the people
who are reading this paper? To me the greatest
tragedy of life, is to be deceived to believe that I
am a born again believer; going to Heaven when
I die and then to discover on the other side of
life that I am eternally and forever lost.
Jesus said: that not everyone that professes
Him is saved (Matthew 7:21). In this scripture
He teaches that only those who do His will, who
keep His Word will be saved.
The apostle John wrote his first epistle to
help us know and be confident in our salvation
So lets us put ourselves to the tests that he
gives to us.
First, a true Christian must believe that Je-
sus is the Son of God; come in the flesh; died on
the cross; raised the third day from the grave and
ever lives to save those who come to God
through Him. (1 John 5:11-13)
Secondly, a true Christian loves others be-
cause the love of God is in him. John says if
you say that you are in the light and hate your
brother, you are in darkness (1 John 2:9-10 &
4:7-8)
Thirdly, a true Christian does not live in a
state of sin and rebellion. John taught that if you
profess that you are a Christian and walk in
darkness you are a liar and the truth is not in
you. (1 John 1:6-7) True believers live in fel-
lowship with the Father, The Son and the Holy
Spirit. True believers seek the fellowship and
companionship of other believers. They do not
live in a state of sin. John write: We know that
whosoever is born of God sins not; but he that is
begotten of God keeps himself and that wicked
one touches him not. (I John 5:18) It is true
that a believer can commit a sin; and they do,
from time to time. But this verse is talking
about living in a state of sin. It is talking about
lifestyle. When a professing believer does not
live in obedience to the Word of God, does not
walk in communion with God in prayer, does
not have anything to do with the church and
lives in worldliness, it is apparent that he is not a
true child of God. John by inspiration wrote:
Love not the world, neither the things that are in
the world. If any man love the world, the love of
the Father is not in him. For all that is in the
world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the
eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father,
but is of the world. And the world passes away,
and the lust thereof: but he that does the will of
God abides for ever.1Jo 2:15 17
So many people think that because they were
raised in a Christian home, or are religious,
made a public profession, were baptized and
believe in God, live a moral respectable life that
they are Heaven bound. Beware!
Do you have the witness of the indwelling
Holy Spirit in your heart and mind? Can you
truly say that Jesus Christ is the Lord of your
life; that you are living in obedience to His
Word? Do the people around you recognize the
testimony of Christ in your life? When you sin
are you grieved about it and go to the Lord for
cleansing? There is no condemnation to them
who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the
flesh but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1

Our church was saddened to learn this
week of the death of one of our most val-
ued member, Someone Else.
Someone's passing creates a vacancy that
will be difficult to fill. Else has been with
us for many years and for every one of
those years, Someone did far more than a
normal person's share of the work.
Whenever there was a job to do, a class to
teach, or a meeting to attend, one name
was on everyone's list, "Let Someone Else
do it."
Whenever leadership was mentioned, this
wonderful person was looked to for inspi-
ration as well as results; "Someone Else
can work with that group."
It was common knowledge that Someone

Else was among the most liberal givers in our church.
Whenever there was a financial need, everyone just
assumed Someone Else would make up the differ-
ence.
Someone Else was a wonderful person; sometimes
appearing superhuman. Were the truth known, every-
body expected too much of Someone Else. Now
Someone Else is gone! We wonder what we are going
to do.
Someone Else left a wonderful example to follow, but
who is going to follow it? Who is going to do the
things Someone Else did? When you are asked to
help this year, remember - we can't depend on Some-
one Else anymore.

CHICKEN STIR-FRY
4 boneless, skinless, chicken breasts
3 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp sauce
tsp ground ginger
tsp garlic powder
3 Tbsp cooking oil, (divided)
2 cups broccoli florets
1 cup small sliced celery
1 cup thinly sliced carrots
1 small onion cut into wedges
1 5 oz can of water chestnuts
1 cup of water
2 tsp of chicken bouillon granules
1. Cut chicken into small strips; place in a
zippered plastic bag.
2. Add corn starch and toss to coat. Com-
bine soy sauce, ginger and garlic powder;
add to bag and shake well. Refrigerate 30
minutes.
3. In large skillet, heat 2 Tbsp. oil and cook
chicken in it until no longer pink. Re-
move & keep warm.
4. Add remaining oil, chestnuts and vegeta-
bles; cook about 5 minutes.
5. Add water & bouillon.
6. Add chicken to pan & cook until slightly
thickened.
7. Serve over steamed rice (or cooked min-
ute rice) as per directions.
For Diabetics, use light soy sauce and low
sodium bouillon; omit carrots.

EZEKIEL
A Determined Prophet To A
Distraught Nation
The book of Ezekiel is one of the greatest
prophetic works in the Word of God. It pro-
vides a panorama of what the future holds in
store for humanity and the world. Ezekiel's
ministry spans 22 years. He lived about the
same time as two other major prophets, Daniel
and Jeremiah. Ezekiel seems to have a greater
grasp on the heart and plan of God for Israel
than did either Daniel or Jeremiah. His life and
his prophesies are extremely God-centered.
God declares through him time and time again:
then you will know that I am God.
Basically there are two tracts to this book;
condemnation and judgment and repentance
and restoration. Ezekiel ministered to these
displaced Jews who were exceedingly back-
slidden and filled with hopeless despair. He
attempted to bring them to a place of repen-
tance and to have confidence in the distant fu-
ture.
Though Jerusalem will fall into the hands of
their enemies and Jehovah has forsaken the
Temple; that the chosen people of Israel are
carried away as the spoils of war; God has not
utterly forsaken His promises. He points to the
restoration of Israel and the renewed glory that
Jerusalem and the Holy Land will enjoy.
In this study we will be challenged to a life
changing vision of Gods power and the glory
to come through the kingdom of God in Christ.
