PRAYER

Accept, O Lord, our thanks and praise for all that

you have done for us. We thank you for the
splendor of the whole creation, for the beauty of
this world, for the wonder of life, and for the
mystery of love.
We thank you for the blessing of family and
friends, and for the loving care which surrounds
us on every side.
We thank you for setting us at tasks which
demand our best efforts, and for leading us to
accomplishments which satisfy and delight us.
We thank you also for those disappointments
and failures that lead us to acknowledge our
dependence on you alone.
O eternal God, bless our association, the officers,
the graduate students as well as the faculty
members, that we may be a people at peace
among ourselves and a blessing to other people.
Grant us courage, wisdom, and foresight to
provide for the needs of all our people, and to
fulfill our obligations in our community.
We humbly ask you also, O Lord, to bless our
dear institution, the Southern Leyte State
University, that it may be a lively center for
sound learning, new discovery, and the pursuit
of wisdom; and grant that those who teach and
those who learn may find you to be the source of
all truth.
And finally, teach our people to rely on your
strength and to accept their responsibilities to
their fellows, and make wise decisions for the
well-being of our society; that we may serve you
faithfully in our generation and honor your holy

CLOSING WORDS
First of all, my sincere gratitude to all the
graduate
students
for
the
unrelenting
opportunity to be your president, your secretary,
your treasurer, your auditor, your mass media
officer for the last few months. It was not an easy
job for me, but it was a true test of my capability
and the practical and/or artistic application of
what Ive taught and learned in my masters
degree. Well, there were times that my
perseverance and commitment were challenged,
but good things always outshined frustrations
and disappointments. With this experience, it
substantially developed and improved my
personal self, my personal role, and my personal
advocacies, passion and/or vocation. This job
causes my immediate, sudden maturity, or this
explains why I looked physically matured or less
juvenile or because of my total busyness, it
deprives me of finding the apple of my life. But, I
have never regretted to be your lowly fellow. To
the new set of officers, you have been elected to
the important positions in the administration of
the association. This is an indication of our
esteem and confidence in all of you. We also
believe that you will uphold the high traditions
of our association, that you will give the best of
your ability to the furtherance of the interest of
our association and the carrying forward of the
objectives of the Association of Graduate
Students of Southern Leyte State University.
Again, thank you for all the trust and confidence
that you have bestowed upon me. Thank you for
choosing SLSU, thank you for being here gracing
our fellowship and may God continue to bless us.
