Student Performance Objectives (SPO): (National #; MA CF #; Task/Activity #)
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
(P) Demonstrate correct underhand throwing form at least 5 times by the end of the lesson by following the skill
cues and aiming towards a target (SHAPE: S1.E13.3, 2, 1, MACF: 2.2; Task/Activity: 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7).
Demonstrate at least 4 out of 6 skill cues (as reviewed with T) for the overhand throw by performing them
correctly at least 1 by the end of the lesson (SHAPE: S1.E14.3, 2, 1; MACF: 2.2, Task: 4, 5, 8).
Demonstrate proper form for catching a ball from a partner by performing at least 3 of the skill cues correctly at
least twice by the end of the lesson (SHAPE: S1.E16.3, 2, 1; MACF: 2.2; Task: 8).
(C) Identify the difference between the overhand and underhand throw with a partner by standing the proper
distance away (underhand close; overhand far) or by answering correctly when asked by the T at least
twice by the end of the lesson (SHAPE: S2.E3.3, 2, 1; MACF: 2.1; Task: 8, Closure)
(A) Demonstrate responsibility for self by following directions and working independently at stations and
cooperating with others throughout the entire lesson (SHAPE: S4.E6.3, 2, 1; MACF: 2.7; Task: All)
Check each objective is it specific? Is it achievable? Is it developmentally appropriate?
Teacher Performance Objectives During the lesson the teacher will:
1. Provide clear, concise instructions without spending a significant amount of time on the instructions.
2. Hold students accountable to behavioral expectations by enforcing rules throughout the entire lesson, and
stating expectations for students to work independently at each station.
Special Considerations What are the safety concerns? What is unique about the students in this
class?
1. Students are young and have very different skill levels, so some students may need extensions to certain
activities while others need modifications.
2. Some students have behavioral issues and/or are ELL students, so they may require necessary
accommodations (visuals, demonstrations) for each activity.
