    MAKKAHMorethan2,500parkingspacesarereadytobeleasedinthecentralareaofMakkahandseveralnearbyneighborhoods,
    Makkahnewspaperreported.
    SupervisoroftherentableparkingprojectatMakkahMunicipalityRaedMominahsaidthefeechargedbythemunicipalityislessthan
    otherparkinglotsby200percent.
    ThemunicipalityhassetthemaximumparkingspacefeeatSR10perhourallyearroundincludingHajandRamadanseasons.The
    projectwasinitiatedbythegovernorateasMakkahEmirPrinceKhalidAlFaisalhadorderedMayorOsamaAlBartocompletethe

    Headdedtheprojectwasinitiatedtoimprovethecitysinfrastructureandnotforthemunicipalitytomakeprofits.
    Theprojectwasalsoinitiatedtoregulatetrafficanddecreasecongestion.Thenewparkingspacesareconsideredsmartparkingspaces
    asthemunicipalityhadinstalledatechnologythatgrantseveryuseranumbertoensurethatthespaceisreservedforhim,said
    Mominah.
    HeaddedthereisanapplicationcalledMowqifthatcanbedownloadedfromGooglePlayandAppStore.
    Theapplicationenablestheusertoseethestatusandavailabilityofparkingspacesandtheirprices.Userscanfindoutwhichparking
    spacesareavailableandforhowmuch,saidMominah.
