GCSE question exam style on


Macbeth. They will be given the
extract to take home and the
accompanying question.

Maths

This week we will review inequalities


as a whole class. Some students will
complete some work on the quadratic
formula and circle theorem. I will
spend some time this week doing
some directed revision to guide
students onto their next step. For
homework some students will have a
question booklet on the quadratic
formula and others will be doing
inequalities. All should be completing
3 hours of revision and most have now
got at least one revision guide book.
After school Wednesday revision club
is on, Thursday lunch club is on and as
always all are welcome before school
for extra revision.

on respiration, this week including
anaerobic respiration. Their homework
will be GCSE questions looking at the
difference between aerobic and
anaerobic respiration, and how the

We are making good progress on unit 3


and choreographing together our group
dance on the theme of weather for
assessment in March.

they have worked on this week in theory and
practical lessons. The exam question
provides guidance on how many marks the
question is worth and students should use
this to help them to write a full and detailed
answer. The homework question will be in
their books on Thursday and is due in the
following Monday.

Were well underway on the American West


unit with all of the students getting last
weeks George Catlin homework completed
and handed in on time. This weeks
homework is once again set on Monday and
due in for Thursday. We are working on the
Customs and Lifestyle of the Plains Indians to
see how they were tailored to life in the
harsh environment of the Great Plains. For
homework, students will have to spend a
good chunk of time completing the notes
that we begin in class. They will need
sections on: tipis; family life; polygamy;
respect for the elderly; horses; medicine and
health; and death by exposure for those too
