you.

Heb. 9:20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto

Loving Heavenly Father:

There is a strange power in blood. The sight alone affects us. Some people
cannot stand to see an animal bleed. Other are obsessed with Walking Dead.
The blood of men and women is a consecrated thing in our society. It is
murder to shed it in anger, and a crime to squander it in war. As we contemplate
turmoil in the world todayand daily reports of people dyingwe recognize
that blood is life, and the shedding of blood is death.
We use this to cause us to pray for all those who face the front lines today.
We personally know some military, police, fire and emergency personnel. But
Lord you know them all, and our prayer is especially for those who are lost!
Help them contemplate the blood of your Son. Make them stunned to
think about the guilt of their sins, and the terrible penalty our divine Sin-bearer
endured on the cross just for them.
Blood is always precious, but it is especially priceless when it streams from
Jesus side. His blood seals the covenant of grace and purchases our salvation.
Trying to earn heaven by good works is futile. Help _________ and _________
rest in the blood of Jesus today, for it is his blood that seals the New Covenant.
This Monday after Veterans Day we thank you for that Roman soldiers
spear, because it proved Jesus really died. Now give Jesus blood a voice to all my
lost friends. Make them hear it as it bids them to give their lives to him. Help
them obey this call to a new life, and help me be incited to consecrate my life so
much the more to him. O that the power of the blood might be felt by all who
need it today! This I ask for Jesus sake and glory. Amen.
A DAILY PATTERN FOR PRAYER & BIBLE READING
Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 16-18; 1 Peter 1
Thursday, November 17

Song of Solomon 3:1 By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I
sought him, but I found him not.

IF the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,
And you have to get along with meager fare,
Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If your body suffers pain and your health you cant regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair,
Jesus knows the pain you feel, He can save and He can heal;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
When your enemies assail and your heart begins to fail,
Dont forget that God in Heaven answers prayer;
He will make a way for you and will lead you safely through.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

TUESDAYFOCUS ON CHRISTS PRAYER LIFE

Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 10-12; James 4
Tuesday, November 15

Mark 6:46 And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
Dear Jesus, Son of Man:
Help me to watch and to pray. Let me use all the tools that aid my prayer;
like being alone (what a challenge!), or rising early, or silent unnoticed reflection.
Because Jesus, if you needed to pray while on this planet, I much more require it.
w Remind me in the hour of my success to pray. Do not let me think
because of the wonders you did for me yesterday I need not pray today. If I have
continual prayer and draw near to you, only then can I bear the greatest success
without risk.
w Remind me to set a double guard over my spirit in the time of rejoicing
so I am not carried away by pride, for pride is the death of all spiritual usefulness.
w Remind me of what I have yet to do, because it will keep me from
glorying in what I have already done. It will also spur me to prayer if I remember
all tasks are beyond my personal ability.
w Remind me to begin on my knees
Let me make prayer the balance of my walk. Then if you fill my sails with a
prosperous wind, I will not be driven too far away. If you send a storm, then I
will not be too twisted by the waves. And if the wind is calm, I can rest in your
presence. Make my heart speak with yours, with accents of emotion, because
thats what makes prayer powerful. A warm heart pleading with a loving Lord
is the highway for transmitting blessing. May it be so today as I pray!
Lord, since you know what it is to be disturbed in prayer (even your
apostles followed after you and disrupted your privacy), so help me persist under
distractions, persevere through interruptions, prevail over frustrations, and renew
my pleading even after the chain of my prayer has been broken. Amen.
FRIDAY CORPORATE PRAYER MINISTRY
Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 19-21; 1 Peter 2
Friday, November 18

WEDNESDAYREVIVAL PRAYING
Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 13-15; James 5
Wednesday, November 16

2 Sam. 5:22-23 And the Philistines came up yet again, and spread themselves in the
valley of Rephaim. And when David inquired of the LORD,
My Captain and My God:
David did not go and fight without inquiring of the Lord, even though he
was victorious in a previous battle. Too many times I say, I will be victorious
again, and neglect to pray for power!
When I do inquire, sometimes your answer stretches me. David was not
directed to march on the enemy and try to out-match him, but to encamp so as to
out-maneuver him, and wait. Help me never complain at having to be patient.
Too many times I am rushing every resource to a fire, instead of deciding
strategically how to act. Help me learn from David to take no steps without you.
I feel like I always seek you, but the streams of providence do not run in a steady
flow. So I need to keep obeying the injunction of Jesus, Paul and Peter:
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to
escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Col. 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
1 Pet. 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch
unto prayer.
Here is the verse that will keep me on the pathway to revival!
Prov. 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding.
If providence tarries, I will wait till providence arrives. I dont want to get
ahead of God. Give me the patience to read the map of scripture and not venture
out until I have sought counsel in prayer. Then, make me recognize the signs that
are indicators of my duty. Give me this grace as I seek for revival! Amen.
SATURDAYIN THE PSALMS
Chronological Bible Reading: Ezekiel 22-24; 1 Peter 3
Saturday, November 19

Luke 6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as
his master.

Psa. 75:1 Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that
thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

O God, Protector of All Who Trust You:

Without you, nothing is strong; nothing is holy; nothing has security;
nothing is done; nothing satisfies. Increase and multiply your mercy, so as ruler
and guide in our church, we can live in this material world and not lose sight of
the Eternal Purpose of God. Grant this for the sake of Jesus who lives forever.
Grant it for the sake of his throne and his reign in glory. Grant it for the sake of
your saints who reign with him.
Grant that the course of our lives and ministries may be so completely
ordered by your providence, we can joyfully serve you and see fruit borne from
our personal witness and corporate testimony. Only you can do this, Lordwe
look to the strong for our strength!
You have prepared such good things for us in the future; they far surpass
our understanding. Therefore, pour into our hearts today such a love toward
Jesus that, loving you above all things, we can desire your plan and seek your
purpose. You are the author and giver of all good things. Graft into our hearts
the love of your Name, and the desire to see it exalted in every life until Jesus
comes back. Nourish us with your word; keep us with your mercy.
Your never-failing providence orders all things in our church body. I
humbly beg you to keep us from temptation, and deliver us from all harmful evil.
Give us those things that will be profitable for us in your service.
Grant us the mind to do and think those things that are right. We cannot
do any good without you. May we be enabled by you to live according to your
will and accomplish your word. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

O Mighty God:
I cannot wait to give you thanks. I want to praise you with repetitiveness.
Let me count weak praise and gratitude as just being ingratitude dressed-up!
Because of your measureless mercies I should give you continual thanks.
Why? Because you are still near at hand to answer and deliver. I adore you
because you are ever-present to my need. I do not sing of an unknown and
unknowable God, who winds-up the universe only to stand back and watch it run
down. No, because
Psa. 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Since you uphold and sustain everything that is right, there is really no cause
for me to fear. Give me strength through the storm, to your glory.
Psa. 75:9 But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
There is a God who works in my life, and nothing happens by chance.
People forget that today. How many times have I only seen fleshly force and
human passion at work, but you are far more real than any of these powers. You
are at work behind and within. You are near even now, and with me.
Deliverance seems hopeless from earthly sources, but you always come
through for your people. All power belongs to you, and everything else is
shadow, unreal and a dream. Let me continually praise you because of that.
You are the promise-keeping God. You delivered Jacob and David, and I
can trust you to continue to bless me. You keep the covenant, made with your
Son, to supply all his people whom he has redeemed. Thank you, Lord. Help me
spread your fame abroad forever! I ask it for Jesus sake. Amen.

THIS WEEKS EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

GIVE GOD THE FIRST PART OF EVERY DAY. The first commitment is
to a daily quiet time with God. Our weekly Prayer Diary provides a template for daily
devotions.
2)

TITHEWORK

1 Cor 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God
hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DIME OF EVERY DOLLARno questions
asked. Ten percent is a miniscule amount in our affluent society, but it must come
off the top in order to show that God is our priority. We want the blessing of the
firstfruits (first devotion, first dime and first day) to flow out to the rest of our
resources.
3)

TEAMWORD

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is;
but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
GIVE GOD THE FIRST DAY OF EVERY WEEK. You should fellowship
with a group of believers around the word of God every Sunday in our church.

QUALITY CHRISTIANITY INVOLVES THREE THINGS

Keeping Christ at the center (your core relationship of worship to God)

Keeping the body of Christ a priority (your congregational relationship of
walking with us)
Basing beliefs and actions on the mind of Christ (your church relationship in
the Word)

Baptists tend to ridicule liturgical churches that use "prepared prayers" because
they lack spontaneity. But for many Baptists, their prayers are so predictable they are
no more spontaneous than written-out prayers. The result is we end up praying the
same things over and over.
This daily Prayer Diary will prompt you on a wide range of prayer requests you
might not normally think of, while forcing you to articulate a deeper devotion to
God. We have included a daily Bible reading schedule. This plan will take you
through the Bible chronologically in a year.
Do not read ahead and do not try to catch up. Use each day as it comes. Then
you can know that on any given day, dozens of other people are lifting their hearts in
the same mind to God. Pray what is written, but use what is prayed as a springboard
for your own relationship with God. You learn to pray by praying.

Secret prayer is the secret of prayer, the soul of prayer, the seal of prayer, the
strength of prayer. If you do not pray alone you do not pray at all. Our Lord Jesus
Christ would go nowhere till He had prayed. He would attempt nothing till He had
prayed.
Oh, says one, I live in the spirit of prayer, and therefore I do not need times
and seasons for prayer. And do you think that Christ did not live in the spirit of
prayer? Yet He had to have his special time and place to pray. Do not fall under the
injurious notion that because your spirit cries to God in prayer all day long, therefore
there must not be some season for more immediately coming into Gods presence. If
you imagine this, I am afraid that it will prove a snare to your feet. The Lord Jesus
Christ, who knew better than you do that the main thing is the spirit of prayer rather
than the act of prayer, yet Himself retired into desert places to maintain the act and
exercise of prayer. Be spiritual. Be baptized into the spirit of prayer. But do not be
deceived by the enemy, who can steal a spirit away while we dream that we only
spiritualize it. We had better preserve the very bones of prayerthe posture, the
time, placerather than let it all ooze away into an impalpable mental condition.
God keep us prayerful. He will do so if He makes us like His dear Son.
Charles H. Spurgeon, 1834-92
