Staff Spotlight for November

Mr. Wikfors AIG Teacher
Hometown: Palisades Park, NJ
How many years at Fairview: 10
Where did you go to college? Long Island University Southampton Campus
Favorite restaurant: Monterrey Mexican in Monroe or New Zealand Caf (sushi)
Name of your favorite teacher in elementary school: Mrs. Martin (5th Grade Teacher)
City you want to visit the most: Somewhere in Italy (wine country) or Octoberfest in Germany
Most rewarding part of being a teacher: Watching students succeed now and in the future I love
getting a text, e-mail, and/or Facebook post from my past students. It is rewarding to see how
successful some of them have become.
Favorite thing to do outside of school: Play golf and tennis with my buddies
Why did you become a teacher? I love teaching students new things watching the light bulb go off
when they finally understand something is very satisfying. I also have the opportunity as an AIG
teacher to witness the academic and social growth of my students over two years. I also like my
summers off.
Favorite sport/team to watch on TV: Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, New York Yankees
Silliest fact about you: I love playing video games (old school gamer)
