Informational Interview

The informational interview was an assignment given to us in CTEL Leadership and

Team Building. This assignment allowed us to explore and think about our future occupation and
what we wanted to pursue. We had to choose a career field which we were interested in and
take the opportunity to talk with someone working in the field. Our only restrictions to this
assignment was the interviewee could not be a relative, personal friend, or a acquaintance we
already knew. We had to prepare a questionnaire and had to contact the interviewee ourselves.
After conducting this interview we had to create a five to ten minute presentation informing
other students in the class of what we learned and if we were still interested in the career field we
analyzed.
