Lieutenant Governor to mark

Remembrance Day in Pembroke
Toronto, November 10, 2016. Her Honour the Hon. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of
Ontario, will conduct an official visit to Pembroke on Friday, November 11, 2016, during which she will
participate in several events marking Remembrance Day. The visit is part of Her Honours continued
program of travel to communities in Ontario.

8 a.m. Breakfast with Canadian Forces members
Garrison Petawawa
After having spent the previous day at Garrison Petawawa, the Lieutenant Governor will join members
of the Canadian Forces for breakfast.

Pembroke, Ontario
10:15 a.m. Visit to Pembroke City Hall
1 Pembroke Street East, Pembroke
Greeted by Pembroke Mayor Michael LeMay, the Lieutenant Governor will deliver informal remarks
during a reception hosted by Pembroke City Council.

10:50 a.m. Remembrance Day ceremony
War Memorial Cenotaph Park, corner of Pembroke Street East and Mackay Street, Pembroke
The Lieutenant Governor will deliver remarks during Pembrokes annual Remembrance Day ceremony,
during which she will place a wreath on behalf of the people of Ontario at the municipalitys cenotaph.
Following the ceremony, Her Honour will observe a march-past performed by Canadian Forces
members and veterans.

Approximately 11:45 a.m. Reception at the Pembroke Legion

202 Pembroke Street East, Pembroke
The Lieutenant Governor will join Canadian Forces members, veterans, and military families during a
reception at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 72. Accompanied by members of the branchs Ladies
Auxiliary, Her Honour will present flowers to local Silver Cross Mother Jean Campbell.
