MUNICIPAL SUMMER TRAINING WORKSHOP ON LOCALIZATION AND

CONTEXTUALIZATION OF LEARNING RESOURCE MATERIALS IN
EDUKASYON SA PAGPAPAKATAO CUM ACTION RESEARCH

1. In line with the DepEd thrust to strenghten teachers for quality education, this
Municipality shall conduct a Municipal Summer Training Workshop on
Localization and Contextualization of Learning Resource Materials in Edukasyon
sa Pagpapakatao (EsP) cum Action Research for Elementary on May 26 - 28, 2016
at San Roque Elementary School, Naic, Cavite.
2. This training workshop aims to:
a. Explain correctly the concept of localization, contextualization and
indigenization of Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao.
b. Identify relevant strategies and approaches in contextualizing teaching and
learning.
c. Integrate the art of questioning with the contextualizing teaching and
learning and new assessment.
d. Equip teachers with the important know how of making effective Action
Research.
3. Participants to this training workshop are teachers teaching EsP in their
respective schools. They are expected to be at San Roque Elementary School at
7:00 AM for the registration.
4. Participants are advised to bring provision for own snacks and lunch for three
days days, laptop, curriculum guide and copy of learning competencies, and
other reference materials.
5. A registration fee of one hundred pesos (P100.00) shall be charged to each
participant to cover incidental expenses and miscellaneous expenses.
6. Attached to this memorandum are the program and training design.
7. Immediate dissemination of this memorandum is desired.
