VIBROMAC 107

VIBRATION MONITORING SYSTEM

Part of the Schenck Process Mining Product Line

The VibroMac 107 is the latest Schenck Process vibration monitoring system specifically designed for harsh
mining and steel vibrating equipment applications. The
Vibromac control system protects your capital investments
by monitoring vibrations in reciprocating machinery. The
system is a valuable tool that warns of any potential hazard
or improper screen and feeder performance, preventing
downtime due to equipment failure and incorrect operating
conditions. The system measures and trends oil temperature
and bearing condition. It monitors the phasing of exciters as
well as acceleration and line of stroke in vibrating screens
and feeders.

Value-adding monitoring device.

Preventative maintenance tool to help increase
service life of equipment.
Warns of catastrophic failure of major components
on screens, feeders and centrifuges.
Monitors running parameters during production,
minimizing the need for on-site personnel.
Alerts operators to necessary component
replacements so that spare parts are available
for shut-downs.
Assists in preventing damage by alerting operators
of potentially harmful parameters.
Reliable and consistent data collection providing
history of screen performance over a specified
time period.

The Vibromac 107 measures the following parameters:

performance/in-line and lateral acceleration, exciter phase,
oil temperature as well as bearing and gear trending. The
sequence of pulses provided by three proximity switches are
measured and monitored, indicating exciter synchronization.
An alarm sounds when an incorrect pulse sequence occurs
or when the machine speed goes below the set parameter.
The software provides for remote data monitoring of over 60
units which can be networked together. VibroMac 107 systems currently operate globally on a wide range of Schenck
Process vibrating screens, feeders and centrifuges.

Vibromac 107 Highlights:

Field mounted instruments continually monitor the motion

of various components of the machine. Primary processing
of the field measurements is done with the Schenck Process
Smart Monitor CA microprocessor. In more sophisticated
systems, secondary processing occurs in a PLC. Basic
systems have no secondary processing and take the output
signals directly from the Schenck Process Smart Monitor
CA outputs. Where plant communications are required, this
is done with your PLC via the Schenck Process CAN Bus to
RS485 converter. Other communication protocols are also
available.

All information is given without obligation. All specifications are subject to change.

Preventative maintenance is the key to reducing downtime.

The Vibromac 107 is able to forewarn bearing and gear
failure in exciters, detect broken shafts and springs and will
recognize unusual screen motion before serious damage
occurs to the screen structure. It can also communicate
with your PLC, indicating equipment overloading or under
loading. The unit is the ideal preventative maintenance tool
for reducing downtime, preventing catastrophic machinery
failure and forecasting maintenance requirements.
