High Risk Work (HRW) License Information
1. MSMBLIC001 License to operate a standard boiler (BS/BB) is a prerequisite for MSMBLIC002 License to operate an advanced boiler (BA), however
both training can be attended concurrently. There are no prerequisite for MSMBLIC001 (BA) or UEPOPL001A (TO). It would be an advantage if
participants have had exposure to boiler/turbine plant and operation.
2. The learning outcome of HRW courses is to meet the requirements for the knowledge component for the HRW licenses.
3. The process for gaining a HRW licence is in 3 parts:
3.1 Enrol in and successfully complete an appropriate training course.
3.2 Gain at least 60 hours experience on the job under the supervision of an appropriately licenced person.
3.3 Undertake a practical assessment on the job. This has a written portion which must be passed before the performance assessment can
be undertaken. The written portion is a 3 hour exam. The performance portion takes about 3 hours.
4. HRW courses mentioned above will provide the theory component required for the issuing of a Statement of Attainment for Boiler Standard, Boiler
Advanced and Turbine operation High Risk Work (HRW) licences (Theory only).
They do not include the practical assessment or on-job-training components as required for gaining HRW licences.
5. The assessment of this course will require the competent demonstration of the required knowledge and skills of the Units of Competency of the
WorkSafe Australia Assessment instruments. Assessment will be carried out through formal classroom assessment and workbook completion.
6. The prices below are for the theory training and theory assessment only and do not include participant travel and living costs whilst attending
the course. Please contact Yokogawa to discuss your requirements for completion of HRW licensing practical assessment.

4. The above prices are based on the following:
4.1 Courses will proceed if the minimum number of participants is confirmed for the course [Minimum = 4 and Maximum = 8].
4.2 Training will be conducted at the nominated Yokogawa office. Course costs at Sydney are less than for other YAU offices,
as there are no travel and accommodation costs included for the YAU trainer.
4.3 All participant training manuals and access to individual computers is included.
4.4 Travel and accommodation costs for clients participants are not included.
4.5 All courses are to be formally confirmed at least two weeks prior to the scheduled start date.
5. Terms and Conditions
5.1 All goods and services are offered subject to Yokogawa Australia standard terms and
conditions of supply, unless otherwise stated.
6. Terms of Payment
6.1 100% of invoiced sum per individual training course. Standard Yokogawa Australia payment terms are 30 days from the
date of invoice.
7. Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of registration for a training course will incur late cancellation fees as follows:
2 weeks before course commencement no cancellation fee payable
1 week before course commencement 50% of course fee is payable
On or after course commencement
100% of course fee is payable
