A one-day briefing on the latest rice production
technologies exclusively designed for local government
officials

Objectives
To update local government officials of the latest
information and technologies on rice S&T
To strengthen partnership with them in rice
technology promotion

Content
Global and national trends and issues in the rice
industry; the national rice program; PhilRice's R&D
program and services; latest R&D findings; ICT in
extension; and knowledge products and other information
resources on rice S&T

Governors, provincial board members,


city/municipal mayors, sanguniang bayan (SB) members,
sanguniang kabataan (SK) chairman, and other local
government workers

Training Staff
This training will be coordinated by the
Technology Management and Services Division.
Resource persons are experts and/or subject matter
specialists from PhilRice and other partner agencies

Php 1,000.00/participant inclusive of training
fee and food

REMINDERS!
1. Courses will only be offered if the minimum number of
participants (at least 15) is met.
2. Schedule of courses will be determined by the course
coordinator and will be posted at the PhilRice Website
(http://www.philrice.gov.ph) one month before the
scheduled date.
3. The PhilRice training management team will screen all
applications. All applicants will be notified on the status of
their application. Qualified applicants must confirm first
his/her participation before finalizing travel plans.
4. Course fee applies to those who qualify to participate in
the program. It covers registration, reference materials,
food, and lodging. Transportation to and from the venue is
not included.
5. Resource persons and facilitators will come from
PhilRice and its partner-agencies.
6. PhilRice reserves the right to cancel or re-schedule a
course.

Customized Training Courses


PhilRice's Technology Management and Services
Division organizes training courses, workshops, and seminars
that are content-specific and tailored to the needs of the
requesting organizations. These courses can be conducted at
the PhilRice's Farmers Training and Information Center or onsite, depending on the needs of the requesting organization.
Customized courses are designed in consultation
with the requesting organization. It ranges from 2 to 7 days
depending on the objectives.
