TITLE: BRAND ANALYSIS & INFORMATION

Assignment Objectives:

In this assignment, students should be able to

1. Know the details information about the products in the market.


2. Get familiar with the available brand of products and services in the market.
3. Know on how to analyze brand of products and services available in the market.
4. Know on how to get the valid and reliable sources using the facts and figures instead
of depending totally on the internet search.
5. Improve the cohesiveness of the group, acquire leadership experience, work as team
members, and communicate effectively in solving the problem.

Assignment Outcomes:

At the end of this assignment, students should be able to

1. Prepare the report consist of the details information about the products or services
available in the market.
2. Analyze critically the available brand of products and services in the market.
3. Analyze the brand of products and services available in the market following the
proper requirements.
4. Get the valid and reliable sources (the facts and figures) about the chosen products or
services.
5. Become a good leader in managing the team, portrays good leadership behavior, work
as team members, solve the problem in the assignment through effective
communication simultaneously minimize the risk of conflict.
Introduction :

1. One of the important skills to be a good marketer is knows on how to analyze the
companys products as well as finding the strengths and weaknesses of the counterparts
brands.

2. The knowledge about the brand of products or services in the market would be able to
strengthen the expertise of a marketer and at the same time, able to help the marketers to be
more familiar with the available brands in the markets.

3. A good marketer also must be able to know on how to find the facts and figures about
certain marketing information, market conditions, product performance, sales performance,
the strengths and weaknesses of brands, as well as everything that is crucial to do the
marketing analysis from the proper sources and information pools.

Assignment Instructions:

1. This is a group assignment. Each group consists of __8__ students.

2. The project will be based on the analysis of the 2 (TWO) brands of popular products or
services in the market.

3. Those product are coming from various categories of products or services such as:
a. Cosmetics
b. Perfumes
c. Clothes
d. Shoes
e. Cars
f. Motorcycles
g. Bicycles
h. Airlines
i. Petroleum
j. Hand phones
k. Watches
l. Computers
m. Printers
n. Supermarkets
o. Retail outlets

t. Local Foods

v. Soft Drinks
w. Other beverages
x. Electronic products.
y. Institutions
z. Heavy equipments

4. Students have to analyze the selected brands and prepare a complete profile of the
brands including the brand logo and its description, the origin, histories, developments and
many others (Please refer to Appendix 1).

5. Students are required to submit the hard copy of the report with proper binding.
