However as a set phrase, (gwi-ga yalpda) means "to be too easily persuaded / to
be gullible," or "to easily change their mind at other people's remarks." This comes from the
idea that if your ears are thin, then words or ideas will enter your brains very easily causing
you to accept them, and not necessarily the idea that you will be able to hear things better.
