Character Formation Using the story of The Passover in Exodus 11:1 through 12:42 this week we
will discuss justice. Justice is Gods power for you to do the right thing. Justice is the
capacity to determine and preserve our common rights (this is the definition used by
the Character Formation in the secular school setting) Webster defines justice this way - to
treat fairly by determining what is right or wrong according to the law. The only way we can
escape Gods justice (punishment for our sins) is for God Himself to deliver us, to pay the
fine. He has done that through Jesus. As a result we are blameless in his eyes. So through
Gods Justice we are able to do what is right. Without Jesus dying on the cross, we do what
is wrong. So, therefore, Justice is Gods power for you to do the right thing
Our Class Christmas Program you may be hearing your child singing Christmas songs or
saying Christmas poems in the weeks ahead. It takes lots of time and practice to get
everything together so are beginning to work on small parts this week. Be sure that you have
th
marked your calendar for Thursday, December 8 at 11:00 for our program and a light lunch
reception. Pass the word to grandparents and other special people in your childs life. We are
looking forward to sharing the message of Jesus birthday with all of you!
