In conversation you often need to report something that someone said earlier we use reported speech

Affirmative and negative

Ive been to London twice she said that she had been to London twice.
By the time you arrive here, I will not (wont) have finished my homework he said that by the time I
arrived there, he would not have finished his homework.

2. Questions

Yes/No questions

Are you coming to the theater tomorrow? Mara asked me. Mara asked me if I was coming to the
theater the day after/tomorrow.
Question words
When did you see her? Peter asked my friend. Peter asked my friend when he had seen her.
3. Orders, requests and advice
Orders Do your homework! She ordered (me) to do my homework.
Requests Can you do your homework? She asked (me) to do my homework.
Advice Dont worry, be happy Peter ordered Peter advised (me) not to worry, to be happy.

4. Suggestions
Why dont we go to Seville? Karen suggested Karen suggested going to Seville. / Karen suggested that
we should go to Seville.
Lets have a huge party! John suggested John suggested having a huge party. / John suggested that we
should have a huge party.
Shall we go to the cinema? Peter suggested Peter suggested going to the cinema. / Peter suggested that
