2point flexure test kit

Range of applications
For determining the flexural strength (using the beam
method) and bending resistance of paper, board and
cardboard (e.g. to DIN 53121, ISO 5628 and similar to
ISO 2493-1), plastic films (e.g. to DIN 53350) and coated fabrics (similar to ISO/TC 45/SC 4). Also for testing
the technical quality of creasings (e.g. to DIN 55437-3).

Various clamping systems are available depending on

the material, condition and properties of the specimen.

Advantages of the 2-point flexure test kit

Bending lengths of 1 - 100 mm (stepless
adjustment)
Short bending lengths of 1, 2 and 5 mm can be set
exactly via a precision grid
Suitable for films (depending on film stiffness) from
approx. 20 m to 200 m
Suitable for paper (depending on stiffness) from
approx. 40 g/m to approx. 450 g/m
Fast, precise specimen alignment via adjustable limit
stops
Bending angle defined either by standard or by user,
adjustable up to a maximum of 120
Extremely high angle resolution
Reproducible, adjustable gripping force with
pneumatic clamping
Using pneumatic grips enables convenient specimen
clamping
Use of spring grips provides constant gripping force
Minimal operator influence with pneumatic and
spring clamping
