ABSTRACT
The object of this essay is the region of Faliron Bay, which morphologically constitutes part of the marine front of Attica, while it had been a nodal point during the performance of the Olympic Games and an object of various studies of reformation in order
to recover its character and role as a mean of connecting the residents with the sea. Initially
there is an introduction, where the reasons of choosing this particular subject are mentioned and also which are the objectives of this essay, then the history of urban development and the institutional background of the concerning region is recorded and follows a
description of the current status and the promoted designs for the further reformation of
Faliron Bay. The essay is completed with the formation of various conclusions regarding
the post-Olympic development of this region and its importance to both people and the
environment.
