Guidance

1. Last diet of MCA/SQA Second Engineer III/2 Theoretical Subjects

examinations = July 2017.
2. Starting from October 2017 diet of examinations, there will only be
Management III/2 level theoretical subject examinations.
3. Candidates who are unsuccessful in passing the 042 theoretical subject
examination(s) will be required to pass Management III/2 level theoretical
subject examinations. Such candidates will also be required to complete
approved relevant course(s) from approved colleges.
4. Second Engineer III/2 Theoretical Subjects exemptions due to HNC Marine
Engineering are only valid until December 2020. After December 2020, such
candidates will be required to pass Management III/2 level theoretical subject
examinations.
5. Pass in the Professional Management III/2 level subjects is only valid for a
period up to 3 years.
6. Candidates with HND/SPD Marine Engineering will be exempt from
Management III/2 level theoretical subjects forever.
