Kristallnacht

Oswiecim, Poland -The main

leaders of the Auschwitz
concentration camp were Rudolf
Hss, Artur Liebehenschel, and
Richard Baer. The Auschwitz
concentration camp complex was
largest concentration camp in all of
the Holocaust. In just this camp, they
killed of all Jews killed in the
Holocaust. The Auschwitz
concentration camp was located in
Southern Poland, Auschwitz. The first
prisoners to arrive at the camp were
Polish Jews and they arrived in May
1940; the first exterminations
happened in September 1941. They
made the camp because they hated the
Jews and blamed them for all the debt
in Germany; they created them to
exterminate all of the Jews. They
invaded and took over places all over
Europe so they created all 20,000
concentration camps inside the stolen
land. The event that led up to
concentration camps was the extreme

Borders of nazi GermanyKristallnacht happened on veer 9 to

November 10, 1938. On that night
Nazis in germany torched
synagogues, vandalized Jewish
homes, schools and businesses and
killed close to 100 Jews. Nazi mobs
torched or vandalized hundreds of
synagogues throughout Germany
and damaged, if not completely
destroyed them. Nazis officials
were ordered firemen and police to
do nothing about the burning
buildings and riots throughout
germany.Heinrich muller ordered
the Nazi mob to torch and kill jews.
This happened on the outside border
of Nazi Germany. Kristallnacht
happened because a jewish teen
killed shot a german diplomat, The
germans took this as the perfect
time to terrorize jews. This was
made possible because a german
official ordered Hitler's storm
troopers to burn and kill jews. The
main event that led up to
kristallnacht was a jewish teen,

Should America Join the War?

____________________________
Borders of Nazi Germany- The
Holocaust has started. On November
9, 1938, the night of broken glass or
Kristallnacht occurred with many
casualties. This is only the beginning
of the rise of the Nazis. Can Nazi
Germany be stopped? Of course they
can. But people must join together to
defeat this strong force. America
should join the war and help because
the Allies of World Warmight not
be able to stop the Nazis by
themselves.
Nazi Germany has shown its
dominance by defeating both France
and Poland, and making them a minor
factor in the War. As you know, the
U.S. has been providing us with war

debt in Germany after the first World

War. They thought their debt was all
of the Jews faults so they wanted to
punish them by killing of the entire
Jewish population.

Reporter- So i am here with Abraham

Benjamin, a former inhibitor of the
Auschwitz concentration camp.
Abraham- Thank you for having me,
its a pleasure to be here.
Reporter- So what was it like living in
the most horrible concentration camp
that is Auschwitz?
Abraham- It was the most terrible
thing a person could go through, they
take your humanity from you and treat
you like you are nothing.
Reporter- It mustve been so difficult
to live back then in the worst camp.
Abraham- It really was a horrid
experience.
Reporter- Were any of your family
members at the camp with you?
Abraham- My mother and father were
with me, my sister was killed during
Kristallnacht.
Reporter-Im so sorry for your loss, as
a child it must be horrible to lose
someone so important to you during
these hard times.
Abraham- Yeah, she meant everything
to me; she kept me sane during the
Holocaust.
Reporter- Were you branded with the
numbers like everyone else even
though you were a child?
Abraham- Yes, they didnt care about
anyone besides themselves.

Herschel Grynszpan, shot a german

diplomat. The germans took this as
the perfect time to terrorize the
jews.
Reporter - so I'm here to talk to you
about kristallnacht, what happened
last night
John smith - last night Hitler's storm
troopers went to towns on the
borders and burnt and killed as
many jews as they can
Reporter - what do you think of the
events that happened late last night
John smith - I think they are stupid
for judging people by their religion
and think they are better than
everyone else.
Reporter - Why do you think the
germans did this
John smith - I think they did this
because they think they're better
than everyone else.

Kristallnacht was a terrible, many

jewish people died that night.
Also many people lost their
house and their valuables. This
all started with one young jewish
teen by the name of Herschel
Grynszpan. Hitler's storm troopers
are still on a raid killing as many
jews as they can.

materials such as weapons and

ammunition, as well as providing us
with money. And with the combined
forces of Germany, Italy, and Japan,
the Allied forces could use all the help
they could get. Especially when they
only have the joined forces of Great
Britain and the Commonwealth.
On November 9th - 10th,
1938, Adolf Hitler and his forces
arrested almost 30,000 Jews, burned
about 1,000 synagogues, destroyed
over 7,000 Jewish businesses and
many more horrific things. This night
of broken glass or Kristallnacht will
forever be remembered. This wave of
violence took place throughout
Germany, annexed Austria, and in
areas of the Sudetenland in
Czechoslovakia. These kinds of things
should not be allowed. Is America just
going to sit and watch? Or are they
going to join the war and fight?
Many of you might say,
America joining the war might lead to
even more trouble. The Axis forces
are very strong, and if they defeat
America, they have a good chance of
taking over the world. Well our allies
were being invaded, and the Nazis are
completely horrible people trying to
destroy an entire race because Adolf
Hitler engraving in their minds that
Jews are responsible for all of their
woes. If we dont join, the Nazis have
a good chance in controlling all of
Europe, and like you people are
thinking, the Axis could take over the
world.
America should most definitely join
the war. With the losses of France and
Poland, the Allies dont have much of
a chance. Especially with Nazi
Germany rising to power. After the
horrific night of broken glass, how
could can we just sit and watch?
People are dying, and we have to stop
the people responsible. The Axis can
only get stronger, and they could take

Reporter- That is really cruel, but

thats all the time we have here; thank
you for attending this interview.
Abraham- Thank you for having me
today.
Hopefully, there will not be anything
like the Holocausts and the
concentration camps in the future.
Having another Holocaust would be
very tragic, would split the world, and
there would be a huge world war.

over the world, so America has to stop

them.
