ARQUITECTURA NEOCLASICA.
Estilo federal
Es un estilo arquitectnico que se
desarrolla en Estados Unidos entre
1780 y 1830. Se asentaba sobre el
estilo georgiano y reanuda los temas
y las formas del neoclasicismo. La
decoracin (elipse, guila) es mnima
y la amplitud se vuelve monumental.

Bulfinch, Thomas Jefferson,
Samuel McIntire, Alexander
Parris.

Estilo neogriego
El estilo arquitectnico Neogriego se
desarroll en Inglaterra y en los
Estados Unidos durante los siglos XVIII
y XIX. En oposicin al estilo palladiano
que se inspira en el modelo clsico
italiano, el Greek Revival busca la
belleza en la inspiracin de las formas
y de las proporciones de los templos
griegos antiguos. Est considerado
como el primer estilo nacional de los
Estados Unidos.
Obras arquitectnicas: Federal Hall (Nueva York) y Second Bank of the
United States (Filadelfia).

Federal Style.
Federal-style architecture is the
name for the classicizing architecture
built in North America between c.
1780 and 1830, and particularly from
1785 to 1815. This style shares its
name with its era, the Federal Period.
The name Federal style is also used
in association with furniture design in
the United States of the same time
period.
The
style
broadly
corresponds to the classicism of
Biedermeier style in the Germanspeaking lands, Regency style in Britain and to the French Empire style.

Greek Revival.
The other Greek revival architectural
style developed in England and the United States during the eighteenth and
nineteenth centuries. In opposition to the Palladian style inspired in the Italian
classic model, the Greek revival looks for beauty in the inspiration of the forms
and proportions of ancient Greek temples. It is considered the first national
style in the United States.
