SLO:

DPI has revised the Student/School Learning Objective (SLO) Rubric to better reflect the holistic
scoring process for the SLO. For the SLO, holistic scoring includes and equally weights the
aspects of the SLO process and measured student growth across

a
ll SLOs within the
Effectiveness Cycle. In practice, this means that no Outcome Summary Score is arrived at by
solely considering whether or not the specific growth goal was met, but rather the quality of the
process used and its impact on student growth.
Here is the reformatted SLO rubric which will better assess your SLOs and give you better
feedback:

As educators our overall level of performance is calculated from 2 parts:

The holistic score from student outcomes accounts for 50%
The Danielson Framework for Teaching with its 22 components accounts for 50%

Reminder: Aspire, grades, credits and Access can not be used as a main source of data.
However, they can be used to triangulate your data. I f you are using a semester long class
for your SLO, it must be a first semester class.
With our new schedules and block classes be aware of possible unforeseen changes at the end
of first semester, by being prepared and assessing your students growth continuously
throughout the semester in order to have the necessary data to complete your SLO.
Artifacts and Evidence Statements:
Not all artifacts that were uploaded to Teachscape have been transferred to My Learning
Plan but will be soon. It is recommended but not required to do this manually. This will
align the evidence statements to the appropriate components and compile them for you
in the Teacher Effectiveness Cycle Evidence Summary form in MLP. If you do not do
that, principals have been instructed to find that information through the Teachscape
documents.
You will no longer have access to Teachscape documents after November 30. Any
information you need/want from Teachscape should be complete before this date.
Anyone starting over in the EEP process (Year 1) should not worry about Teachscape
documents unless you personally want to keep records.
Artifacts can be added from three different locations:
within the SLO documents,
within ANNOUNCED observations (not minis) and in
the Artifact files section under My Evaluation.
The Artifacts dialogue box looks the same regardless of where you enter it. If you do it
within the SLO or Observation it will automatically be attached to those documents. If
you do it through My Evaluation, you have to align it to the intended category
(Domain/Component).
Evidence Statements should be written in the description box following a short 1-2
sentence description of the artifact.
Evidence Statements can be added to an observation (recommended you do so to share
your voice on that observation). It must be aligned to the timeframe that your evaluator
was in the room (i.e. evaluator noticed the kids were grouped but did not know how they
were grouped).
