With great pleasure, we the alumni of the Dept of Pharmaceutical Technology, JU, feel proud to
inform you that our department which started its journey from 1963 is going to celebrate 50
years of its academic excellence. To commemorate the 50 years of our department a
commemorative souvenir will be published during the scientific seminar on Research and
development in drugs and pharmaceuticals: An industrial perspective during February 23-24,
2013. We would like to highlight the activities of our department through the work of our
students at individual laboratories and would like to invite you for Poster presentation.

The Alumni, the present students and the research scholars of the Department of
Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University, are cordially invited to submit scientific
abstracts for POSTER presentations

Submit one abstract of your work with in 250 words [max] to publish it in the proceeding.

Poster presentation will be during February 23-24, 2013.

The abstract should be submitted by January 20, 2013 through e.mail:

Registration documents and the registration fees must be paid within January 20, 2013.
Abstract submitted without registration will not be entertained.

Dear Colleagues
With great pleasure, we the alumni of the Dept of Pharmaceutical Technology, JU, feel proud to
inform you that our department which started its journey from 1963 is going to celebrate 50
years of its academic excellence. The long path has been crossed so far with the active
leadership of different teachers and mentors who had imbibed within us the sense of oneness
with this department.
To commemorate the 50 years of our department a commemorative souvenir will be published
during the scientific seminar on Research and development in drugs and pharmaceuticals: An
industrial perspective during February 23-24, 2013. We would like to highlight the activities of
our department and the individual laboratories.
In this context we would like to request you:

To submit one abstract of the activities of your lab with in 500 words [max] to publish in
the proceeding.

Your work may be presented during the event through oral/poster or both presentations.
Duration of oral presentation will be 15 minutes and the presentation should be made by
the PI of the respective laboratory.

General guidelines for submission of Abstract and presentation of Poster
The Alumni and the present students and research scholars of the Department of Pharmaceutical
Technology, Jadavpur University, are cordially invited to submit scientific abstracts for POSTER
presentations.
Abstracts must be submitted to the conference official mail at:
goldenjubilee.pharmtech.ju@gmail.com mentioning Abstract in subject by January 20, 2013.
Only registered delegates will be permitted to present and participate in the paper presentation.
One delegate may submit only one abstract and one registered participant can present only one
poster.
General guidelines for preparing the abstract:
Abstracts must be written in English. It should include title (14 pt, Bold, Upper case), Author(s) &
affiliations, Materials and methods, results and conclusions. Name of the presenting author should
be underlined. The text should be single spaced 12 pt, Arial all through.
Abstract Title (125 characters including spaces)
(Titles should briefly describe the focus of the abstract as well as accurately reflect the content of the
work.)
Authors names and Affiliations, Objective (150 characters including spaces)
Method (500 characters including spaces), Results (500 characters including spaces)
Conclusion (150 characters including spaces), References (100 characters including spaces)

Guidelines for Poster presentation:
For poster presentations, the size of the poster should be within 100 cm (height) and 75 cm (width).
Content of the poster should be readable from 1.5 meters. Scientific committee will provide a vacant
board/wall, and sticking tape.
Important notes:
Abstract submitted without registration will not be entertained.
Presenters should prepare their Posters in English.
Registration documents and the registration fees must be paid within January 20, 2013.
