Summary of United Nations Convention on the Rights of the

Child
1. A child means every human being under the age of eighteen years, unless,
under the applicable to the child, majority is attained earlier.
2. Every child has the inherent right to life.
3. Every child shall have the right from birth to a name, the right to acquire a
nationality, and the right to know and be cared for by his parents.

purposes of care has the right to a periodic review of the treatment provided
