MMIW fundraiser

Tomorrow at NVIT, an event (with

several components) will be held to raise
awareness of Murdered & Missing Indigenous Women.
There will be a craft/art market from
11am-7pm.
SHANA - the Wolf's Music, a family
film made in the Nicola in 2012 will be
screened at 2pm. Tickets are $5. 50 DVDs
of the Shana film will be for sale afterwards for $15 each, with $3 each going to
the family of the late Monica Jack to cover
costs of attending trial dates in 2017.
At 4pm there is a guest speaker from
the Highway of Tears.
At 5pm, there will be dinner followed
by a runway gala 4 Justice For Her
showcasing fashions from 6 indigenous
designers. Doors open 4pm, dinner begins at 5pm, fashion show 6-8pm at
NVIT. Tickets include dinner & show $50,
