Course Learning Outcomes
1. Understand and apply basic kinematics concepts to solve real-world problems.
2. Understand and apply Newtons laws of motion.
3. Understand basic dynamics concepts force, momentum, work and energy.
4. Understand and apply basic concepts of rotational motion, momentum and collision.
Course Description:
Measurement, SI system of units, vectors, motion in1D and 2D, Newtons Laws, Work,
Energy and Conversion of Energy, Momentum and Collisions, Rotation of rigid bodies,
Dynamics of rotational motion, Torque and Static Equilibrium.

Important Note

Absence of 10% (or 3 classes) of the total course time will result in a warning posted online.
Absence of 15% (or 4 classes) of the time allocated for the course will result in a warning
signed by the Dean of College of Sciences.
Absence of 20% or more will result in forfeiting the course and the student will not be
permitted to attend the final examination.
