Occupational Therapy Early Admissions Agreement

Your admission into the Occupational Therapy Early Admission Program is guaranteed as long as the Early
Admission requirements are maintained. Note that these requirements are higher than those for competitive
admission. Competitive admission is the standard admission process for the program in Occupational Therapy
as published in the University of Mary Graduate Bulletin. Acceptance into the Early Admission Program does
not prohibit a student from applying for competitive admission into the OT program, if a student does not meet
Early Admissions criteria.
The Early Admission Program Requirements are:
Completion of bachelors degree prior to beginning the OT Professional Program with a
minimum GPA of 3.25 in OT pre-requisite courses AND an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0.
Completion of all pre-requisite and core requirements with a minimum grade of a C and no
retakes.
Completion of all courses at the University of Mary with the exception of dual credit or AP
courses taken in high school.
Continued full time attendance at the University of Mary and compliance with all rules and
regulations of the university, including compliance with the University of Mary Standard of
Conduct.
Submission of the OT Professional Program Application in spring semester preceding entry into
the professional OT Program.
o Applications will be available upon request from the OT Department. The application will
also include the form for references. Please contact the OT Department in September of
the year of application.
o Applications are due in early December preceding entry into the OT Program.
o Completion of all application requirements of the Occupational Therapy Program
including
Volunteer Work and Community Service Verification Form
Recommendation and Appraisal Form. (3 references)
If you do not meet the criteria as outlined in this contract, you have the option of applying to the OT program
through the competitive admissions process.
The Program in Occupational Therapy reserves the right to modify the curriculum.
