Allahamdullilah cleared fcps part- 1 medicine and allied in first attempt :)

Before starting preps i read almost all the guidelines and experiences shared by
seniors
in fcps group :)
they helped me alot in geting started .
i had this in my mind that when i clear it inshallah thn il write a detail exper
ience
of my preparation as well :)
FCPS part 1 is an exam which test ur patience and skills of ratta :P
its a substandard exam which doesnot tests ur knowledge ..
each and every candidate has to follow a specific course ,known to every one .mo
stly
the MCQS BOOKS.
My housejob ended on 9th of september .so my actual study started from 10th of s
eptember
though im a nerd :P i did study during my housejob bt that was just for satisfac
tion ,it dint help
much ...
2 months are enough if ur well determinant to ace it :P
i took my start from ANATOMY SNELL review ..it took me almost 10 days to finish
it.
i would watch acland video with every unit .they helped me alot .everyone should
watch
it .thats how u can retain anatomy otherwise its a volatile subject .
After anatomy i did PHYSIOLOGY from BRS .though i had read it twice during my ho
usejob
bt still it was like im reading it for the first time ..i would suggest making n
otes from the very start of
ur preparation ..just note down the important points from each topic ,so that u
could revise it easily thn . ..okay so i did physio in 7 days .
But here is the most important point that please try to cover rabia ali and firs
t aid chapter wise along with ur subject ,
e.g do cvs from physio brs ,cvs at the same time from First aid and then mcqs of
cvs from rabia ali .
same for anatomy and pathology ..
After doing anatomy i did pathology from pathoma along with pathology from first
aid ...pathoma is an awsome book .read it .clear ur
concepts from it thn at the same tym give a read to that topic from first aid .
for GENERAL pathology i did read brs along with pathoma .but i would not recomme
nd that book .better revise pathoma twice instead.
...so i did pathology in 10 days .
after doing major subjects .. idid microbiology from first aid .but the key for
microbiology is that FAWAD micro FILe ..he has written each and
every mcq of rabia ali along with the concerned topic .i anotated those mcqs on
my first aid from that file ..just read those topic
which he has mentioned.micro will take 3 days at max .
then i did neuroanatomy from kaplan ..whaty nice book it is .just watch the vide
os and read the book ..will take maximum
3 days but trust me ul love reading it .. i dint do BIOCHEMEMISTRY ..just did it
s mcqs from rabia ali.:P
for embryology i would give two hours at night before sleeping .by the end of th
e major subjects i had covered it .watch kaplan video for general
embryology .it will clear ur concepts .it would take maximum 2 hrs ..i did rest
of the embryology from first aid only :P
i decided to revise anatomy at the end of course bcz i had forgotten it by then
..so i gav it 5 more days.

NOW close ur course books :P

atleast save last 20 days for mcqs .
i started chandkian ,did medicine papers only .in 2 days .
then asim shohaib(medicine only) in 4 days ..pathetic book it is .i got so much
dissapointed and discouraged after doing that book .
i thought of revising my course again bcz i was not able to solve those yuccck m
cqs :D
but some of my seniors told me not to touch course books again :D
so i continued with the mcqs .did tanveer notes ..in 2 days .
then i did past papers (GOLDEN FILE 2)..which was full of mistakes .so it took 3
days almost .
again did tanveer notes .in the last 7days i did sallahuddin pearls they are go
od but we were short of tym so just gave it
quick read ...then again did rabia ali. did its physio 3 times .
again tanveer notes :D well TANVEER NOTES are so awsome that the more u do it th
e more it will help u in exam ..
for medicine ppl .
its better u concentrate more on physio and patho ..anatomy py ziada tym na wast
e karain .
clear ur concepts .

for ERRATAS ..make ur own errata but overall MUSAB UMAIR'S ERRATA is free of mis
takes ..i followed that one.
for anatomy thr is a file by the name of ANATOMY review ,100 cases are thr .
read 2 cases a day ..an awsome book .will cover all ur clinical anatomy inshalla

dont skip namaz .thats ur key to success ...
hardwork pays off but prayers are a must :)
