indikator TB/U Z-score pula,
normal dengan presentase sebanyak 63% (148 orang), diikuti status gizi pendek
sebanyak 28.1% (66 orang) dan sebagian kecil memiliki status gizi sangat pendek
dengan presentase 8.9% (21 orang). Berdasarkan indikator IMT/U sebagian besar
perlunya
dilakukan

in SDN 221 Malili, SDN 229 Waru dan SDN 234 Kore-Korea, Kecamatan
Malili, Kabupaten Luwu Timur Year 2014.

Background: Nutritional status is one of the health indicator that is very
important in the assessment of health status in community. Nowadays, Indonesia
is facing double nutritional problems where overweight also becomes a problems
instead of lack of nutrient that are not eliminated yet. Lack of nutrient for children
less than 5 years old are at risk to become lack of nutrient at the school age.
Nutrition is one of the determinant for the quality of human resources. Lack of
nutrition will cause the failure in physical growth, development of intelligences,
decrease immunity, increase the rate of illness and death especially the mother
and baby.
Objective and method: to obtain nutritional status by antropometric for primary
scholl children in SDN 221 Malili, SDN 229 Waru dan SDN 234 Kore-Korea di
Kecamatan Malili Kabupaten Luwu Timur, Sulawesi Selatan year 2014. Methods
used are descriptive with 262 sampel of primary school children that fulfil the
criteria until minimal amount of sample are reached. Research were done on 17
November 2014.
Research started by measuring the weight and height and analyze by
antropometric. The instruments used were microtoice and platform balance scale.
Variables that been analyzed were weight/ age, height/age and BMI/age using
standard deviation or Z-score WHO. The data were then analyzed using program
by WHO named Antroplus and SPSS Statistics 17.0
Results: From the results, it is shown that by the distribution of nutritional status
of weight/age Z-score, the highest percentage are nutritional status good with
3
percentage of 63% (148 sample), followed by short with percentage 28.1% (66
sample) and only a few are too short with percentage 8.9% (21 sample). Whereas
by using the indicator of BMI/age, more than the half students are having normal
nutritional status by percentage of 86.4% (203 sample). For fat and thin, the
percentage is 9.9% (13 sample) and 4.2% (15 sample). While only a few are too
thin by the percentage of 1.2% (4 sample). From this assessment, we suggest that
there is a need to do the measurement of weight and height periodically to
monitoring the development of their nutritional status, educate the students and
parents about good nutrition and there should be a further research done to know
the factors that can influence the nutritional status of the primary school children.
