NORTH CAROLINA DURHAM COUNTY FIRST AMENDMENT TO SUPERINTENDENT'S CONTRACT “The Durbar Public Schools Board of Education (hereinafter, the “Board”) and Dr, Bert L'Homme (hereinafter, the “Superintendent’), hereby mutully agree to amend the Superintendent's Contract entered by the Board and Superintendent on June 13, 2014 hereinafter, the “Contact” as fellows 1, REVISION TO SECTION 1, TERM: Section 1, “TERM is hereby amended by «extending the Contract’ termination date from June 30,2018, to une 30,2019: 2. REVISION TO SUBSECTION 5B, VACATION AND OTHER BENEFITS: * Subsection B of Section 5, Vacation and Other Benefits, is hereby amended by adding the following language atthe end of that subsection: “Beginning July 1, 2015, forthe 2015-2016 school year, and on the first of July of each subsequent school year of his employment as ‘Superintendent ofthe Dutham Publi Schools the Superintendent shall receive an editional twenty (20) locally paid leave days in addition to the annual Jae provided pursuant to slate lew. Suck locally paid annual leave days shll not be added to state acerued annual eave days in determining carry-over of annual leave at the conclusion ofthe fiscal year, In addition, the ‘Superintendent shall not be ented to payout of any unused locally pad ennualleeve days upon separation of employment.” 3. CONTRACT OTHERWISE INCHANGED. Except as expres provided fa {his Fist Amendment to Superintendent's Contrctor any subsequent written amendments tothe (Contract duly approved and executed by both the Board and Superintendent, the Contract remains unchanged, nd all ofits terms remain in fll force and elfect as a binding agreement betwen the Board and Superintendent. PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF SUPERINTENDENT. A. LICENSE, The Superntondent shall furnish throughout the term of his ‘employment as Superintendent a valid and appropriate license 1 act as Superintendent o shall tave other appropriate qualifications as preseribed by the laws ofthis stat and by the regulations «the State Board of Education. B. DUTIES. The Superintendent shall have charge of the administration of tne schools under the direction ofthe Board.
