Guidelines for preparation of Summer Training Project Report

1. The report should ordinarily be based on primary data.
2. 100 to 150 pages of A4 size excluding cover and certificates.
3. Typing with double spacing in Times New Roman with 12 font size.
4. Three copies to be submitted (original print will be returned to the
student and two duplicates will be retained.
5. Hard bound (No spiral binding) in following order with page
numbering:
Cover Page (in prescribed format) on white chart paper-Outer and Inner
Certificate from Training Supervisor (Reporting officer of the organization where the
student has undergone training)
Certificate from the Head of the Department (in prescribed format)
Declaration by the student (in prescribed format)
Index of contents
Preface (Brief overview of study with plan and chapterisation)
4-5 pages
Acknowledgments
1-2 pages
PART I : Introduction to the organization
35-50 pages
Brief History
Organisational structure
Products & Services offered by the company
Financial / market performance of past years
Problems faced / challenges for the company
PART II : Micro Research Problem (assigned by the company)
60-90 pages
Objectives, importance and scope of study
Research methodology
Data Analysis & Interpretation (including charts, tables, etc.)
Findings & Recommendations
Conclusion (Summary and limitations of study)
Annexures (Questionnaires, financial statements, forms, formats etc.)
Bibliography & References

6. Printing and binding of report should be done only after LCD

presentation and written approval of training & placement incharge.
7. Last date of submission of report is 30th August 2012.
