In this area, every students class work is found, each

After the observation

Think about why the classroom layout is organized as it is. Ask your MST why the
desk/tables are arranged as they are and the function of each area of the classroom.

The MST said that the desks/tables are arranged as they are because each group has an
activity, the teacher doesnt actually teach in those groups, she teaches in the circle. This
circle is like a carpet in front of the white board and this place is where she teaches while
the small groups tables are for after theyre done from the circle, kids finish from the circle
and head to different groups. The functions of each area of the class are:

1. Circle area: This area is the main because teachers teach students, read stories, and start their class
in.
2. Reading corner: Sit on the bean bags and read stories.

3. Science and nature corner: Kids sit in it and do activities related to science.
4. Mathematics corner: Count the numbers puzzles and do worksheets related to math.
5. Art and crafts corner: Students show their creativeness by drawing, designing, and sticking things on
the paper, so this area is specialized for that.
6. Drama corner: In this corner, kitchen toy is available, not working house phone, puppets, tables and
chairs so to let students act or make a scene as if its true.
7. Eating area: Where students eat.
8. Students shelves: In this area, every students class work is found, each shelf has a photo of each
student for each one to know where to put his work.
