I would like to continue my studies in Italy.

This is a beautiful country, its capital is


Rome and has a population of 60 million people, Italy can be considered a country with
a significative number of habitants, the official currency of Italy is the Euro and its
known as a bi-continental country because their territory is ubicated in South Europe
and have many islands in North Africa.
The Natural Parks of pure beauty are an exceptional scenery for people who decides to
spend their vacations in a close contact with the nature. The vegetation in Italy is
extraordinarily variated and discover it is, for the tourist, an unforgettable experience.
There are many Nationals Parks to enjoy like El Gran Paradiso, Circeo, Stelvio,
Dolomitas Belluneses, Gran Sasso, Laga Mounts, Cilento, Vallo di Diano, Gargano,
Calabria Parks and the Aspromonte, and archipelagos like Maddalena, Toscano, Vesubio
and the Five Lands. And, also, many protected natural areas, reserves and marine
parks.
The Italian weather is very Mediterranean, It has remarkables variations according the
zone. In first place, because its considerable latitude extension: the annual averages in
Milan is about 25 degrees in July and 1,4 degrees in January, while in Palermo, these
measurements are 29,3 and 13 degrees in July and January, respectively. But in general
the temperatures are pleasant as Italy has the protection of the Alps to the north.
The Italian gastronomy is based on Mediterranean diet, whose benefits are known
worldwide, includes bread and oil as more important components. From north to south,
the Italian landscape its characterized for its wheat fields, which become in different
flavors and kind of bread, and its olive green trees, and no matter if you are above sea
level, on top of a hill or besides a lake, Italy always produce good quality oil. The typical
Italian food are pasta, cold cuts like salami, Prosciutto and Peperoni and the pizza is
very known around the world.

Italian music ranges in a wide range of opera and classical instrumental music and
popular music drawn from indigenous and imported sources. Music has traditionally
been one of the cultural markers of the Italian national and ethnic identity and has an
important position in society and in politics. The best known artists are Eros
Ramazzotti, Pavarotti, Tiziano Ferro, among others. The most practiced and most
important sport in the country is soccer, being AC Milan, Juventus, Internazionale
Milano and AS ROMA the most remarkable soccer teams in country, the most important

event for the Italian soccer is the Italian derby, facing Internazionale Milano and
Juventus in an exciting match. Significantly, the Italian national football team has won 4
WorldCup Titles.

The most important festivals are the Domenica di Pasqua, the Capodanno, the
Liberazione, and Tutti i Santi. Christians (Catholics, Protestants, Orthodox, etc.) along
with Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons represent the majority religion. However the
87.8% of Italians declare themselves Catholics, being one of the highest percentages in
Europe. The most important places to visit are the Roman Coliseum, the Vatican, the
Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain.
