SPECIAL PRAISE & THANKSGIVING REPORT!

Dear Friends & Family,
This month marks four years since the Lord moved us to Kansas City to become
intercessory missionaries at IHOPKC. We want to devote this Thanksgiving issue of our
newsletter to giving praise and thanks to God!
-Love, The Marcums

Pro-Life Victories
We were at an evening supper gathering in a home recently of one of our KC Coalition for Life leaders, and we
closed our time together with a time of prayer which ended up lasting nearly an hour. At one point, thanksgiving
just filled my heart as the Lord began to remind me of all the victories Hes given, just since we have been in KC!
As I began to pray out with thanksgiving, joyful laughs and tears filled the room.

Abortion clinic CLOSED in KC Kansas, Wyandotte county a very unsafe clinic in a poor neighborhood.
Planned Parenthood field office CLOSED in Grandview (it was located next to the Christian pregnancy
center where we held weekly prayer meetings).
Planned Parenthood worker QUIT Planned Parenthood in Overland Park and joined the pro-life movement.
Abortionist doctor QUIT (retired) at Center for Womens Health private abortion clinic where we hold 40
Days for Life prayer vigils! One less pair of hands doing abortions in KC.
Advice & Aid pregnancy resource center has moved to a new, strategic location NEXT DOOR to Planned
Parenthood funded by God!
We have confirmed six babies SAVED as moms chose LIFE in front of the clinics where we have prayed
and counseled weekly for the past 3 years.

Victory report from Fall 2016 40 Days for Life

We were asked to lead worship at both the opening and closing rallies of
our Fall 40 Days for Life here in KC. It was a privilege and we were
touched by the heartfelt singing of the crowd, as believers from many
different streams in the Body of Christ came together to call upon the
Lord. This years Fall vigil went from Sept 28-Nov 6, and our Life
Team (Isaiah 40 Initiatives) from IHOPKC signed up to be on the
sidewalk every Thursday morning from 7 am 1 pm. We met many
new people from area churches & ministries and felt the Lord answering
our prayer to see more people awakened and involved.
The greatest victory we experienced was that one young couple chose LIFE for their baby as a result of our prayers
and witness in front of the abortion clinic. It happened on Monday morning, Oct 31 (interesting day for such a
victory!). We were not there, but rejoice with the team who got to experience this. Another victory to report is that a
mom who chose LIFE during our previous 40 Days for Life in the Spring just gave birth to her baby boy during our
Fall vigil! One of the KC Coalition for Life leaders visited her and brought some gifts to her & her precious child.
The Fall 2016 40 Days for Life took place in 367 cities in the U.S. and 23 countries worldwide. 676 babies were
saved from death by abortion, and 8 more abortion workers quit their jobs! Here is the praise report from all 40 Days
for Life prayer vigils combined which have taken place in 636 different cities in 36 different countries:

12,472 Babies Saved (that we know of).

133 Abortion Facility Workers have had a Change of Heart and Left their Jobs.
75 Abortion Facilities have CLOSED!

Gods Faithful Hand Guiding us Through 2016

February Our IHOPKC Life team visited Jefferson City on Feb 23 to support Pro-Life state legislation, and
stopped in Columbia, MO on the way back to pray at the Planned Parenthood located near the state university. We
found out later, in May, that our prayers were answered and no abortionist was found to take the job in Columbia, so
surgical abortion has been shut down there.
April We led two buses of 72 IHOPU students over 3,000 miles to Los Angeles, CA and back for Azusa Now - a
west coast gathering of over 65,000 believers at Memorial Coliseum. There was much reconciliation and repentance,
and crying out for God to bring revival to America.
May We participated in a week of training with Life International in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 97% of the 50
million abortions annually worldwide take place OUTSIDE the U.S. Life International trains missionaries to go into
abortion-prone cities and nations with the message of LIFE. We have our passports please pray for us as we plan to
go on our first trip in 2017 with Life International! In May, we also attended IHOPUs graduation of 142 students (3
from our discipleship group), including 35 Chinese students who had been taught in their own language.
August We visited a local KC church Grace Church with Denny & Mindy Thybault, the new directors of our
renamed Life Team at IHOPKC - Isaiah 40 Initiatives. Led a morning of ministry on pro-life and adoption.
September Hosted thousands of missionaries from all over the world at YWAM Together conference amazing!
October We attended Advice & Aid Christian pregnancy center banquet where we celebrated their move to now be
right next door to Planned Parenthood in Overland Park.
November We helped raise funds to sponsor a table for Zoes House banquet, a local Christian adoption agency.
Their mission is to make adoptions affordable for Christian families they have now reduced the average cost of an
adoption from $20-30,000 down to $7,500. The banquet raised over $50,000 which met a matching gift of $50,000 they
will be receiving from a donor. Also in November, our Isaiah 40 Initiatives team visited the Orphan Train Complex in
Concordia, KS which commemorates and tells the story of American history from 1854-1929 when 250,000 orphans
were taken by train from the east coase to families across the nation who would care for them. We are asking the Lord
to raise up another such movement in America now for the 400,000 children in foster care who are eligible for adoption,
as well as the thousands of children who will be rescued from abortion and need adoptive families.
ALL YEAR We kept our Sacred Trust before the Lord to spend hundreds of hours in the Global Prayer Room,
keeping the fire of 24/7 worship and prayer burning in the heartland of America!

Announcing Mr. & Mrs. Joshua and Joy Lee!

On October 15, our daughter Joy was married! She and her husband, Joshua Lee, have
begun their journey together in the Lord as husband and wife. They are living in KC (not
far from our house yay!), and are continuing to be a part of the kingdom community here
at IHOPKC. Right after they got back from their honeymoon, they helped begin a
newlyweds group where they will be going deeper together in fellowship & the Word with
other young couples we are very excited for them! Their longer-term plan is to move to
Lexington, KY within the next year so Joshua can further his studies in the graduate
program at Asbury Seminary. We have heard some awesome news lately about how the
Lord is moving on the campus there, and well share more with you in our next newsletter.

FINAL WORD: Our prayer is that all of you have a blessed and Christ-centered holiday season! We will not
be sending out a December newsletter, but well be in touch once again in January of 2017. God be with you all,
keep in touch, and remember we are praying for you!

Because He is worthy of it all,
