THIRD NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON SOCIAL STUDIES EDUCATION
OF THE UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINESCOLLEGE OF EDUCATION
The University of the Philippines (UP)College of Education, in partnership
with the Organization of Social Studies Teachers in the Philippines Inc., will host
the Third National Conference on Social Studies Education with the theme Teaching
Beyond the Textbook: Film, Literature, and Other Learning Resources in Social
Studies from April 27 to 29, 2017 at the Benitez Theater, UPCollege of Education,
Diliman, Quezon City.
The Conference aims to:
1. provide the participants with an important forum to gather and
exchange ideas about best practices and present developments in
Social Studies Education; and
2. provide them with a meaningful coverage on the current trends
and challenges in the teaching of Social Studies in light of the
implementation of the K to 12 Curriculum.
The target participants are scholars, educators, school administrators,
researchers, teachers and learners from both public and private schools
nationwide.
