The school is
integrating the
Leader in Me
program to improve
school climate, yet
there are few visual
reminders of the 7
Habits outside of
the classrooms. The
interior visual
environment of the
school is lacking
interest, and the
white paint on the
walls is easily
dirtied, creating an
unappealing and
uninspiring
atmosphere. The
visual environment
is working against
the type of climate
we are trying to
create.

1) Teacher Survey
2) Student survey
3) Information
gained from
Literature Review
done in EDUC

school
environments
4) Conversations

1) Create visual action team of

1) Teacher/student school climate and
campus staff to help inform
visual environment survey
decisions

2) Paint Leadership-themed street
signs and murals in the
hallways
3) Hire a painter to paint the
bottom halves of the hallways
with color
4) Add inspiring posters
throughout the school
5) Add pictures of students being
leaders throughout the school
6) Create student action team to
help maintain the visual
additions
