Survival of the Fittest

Players alternately pick cards to compile a deck, one card type at a time. Red cards are animals,
green are evolutions, and purple are circumstance. Following deck building, players select three species
from their deck and place them face down on in front of them so that their opponent does not know their
selection. Each player can have a total of five species cards on the field at one time. Players then shuffle
their remaining cards and draw five into their hand. Players flip a coin to see who goes first, with the player
correctly guessing the side the coin lands on going first. Players will alternate turns and have a total of ten
turns each.
Every turn, the player will draw one card and be able to make two moves. A move can be
considered placing a species on the field, applying an evolution to a species, using a circumstance card, or
attacking an opponents species. When an attack commences, both players must flip the involved species
cards face up. The species with the higher combat ability (CA), evolutions included, wins and causes the
other species to go extinct. When a species goes extinct, it is removed from the game in the discard pile,
along with any cards that were applied to it. If coevolution was used, the species that was not part of the
attack remains but loses any modification to stats that it received from its partner species.
After ten rounds have been played, players total the fitness (F) of their species on the field and the
player with the highest total fitness wins as their species will ultimately be more fit and outlive the
opponents species.
