LISTENING PLAN
Skills: Listening for specific information.
Level: Intermediate
Grammar focus: Comparatives and superlatives.
Students: 16 students
Age: 15 years old
Pre Listening activity.
- I will stick on the board different flash cards related to
types of houses. They will have to match the pictures to
their correct names.
I will ask: What type of house do you live in?
I will elicit the answer from 2 students.
I will ask two students to tell the class if they like their
flats or houses. And what things would they change in
them.
I will ask the students if they have ever lived in another
house or flat. And I will ask them if they want to do it and
why.
I will elicit the answers from the students.

WHILE LISTENING
PHOTOCOPY Point 1
A) Listening for general meaning.
I will ask 1 student to read out loud the task in exercise 1.
Then I will ask another student to explain what they have
to do.
St: we have to listen to the podcast and say which
sentence is correct.
I will ask another student to read the sentences out laud.
I will play the podcast.
After the First listening I will ask: so What do you think?
Which sentence is correct?
I will elicit the answer.
I will ask the students questions for general
understanding.
How many participants were there in the audio? Do you
remember their names? What is the podcast about?
I will elicit the answers.

Point 2
B) Listening for detail
I will ask 1 student to read out laud the task in exercise 2.
Then I will ask another student to explain what they have
to do.
St: we have to read the questions and listen to the
podcast and choose the correct option.
I will play the podcast again.
I will ask them to work with a mate and compare their
answers.
I will give students 2 minutes and then check the activity

orally.

Point 3
c) Listening for more detail
I will ask the students to read and do the activity 3 by
themselves.
I will give them 5 minutes.
I will ask them to compare their answers with a
classmate.
I will read the task and I will elicit the answers.

After Listening activity


Point 4
I will ask the students to read the task and the sentences.
I will choose 1 student and I will ask: What is the most
important thing about the place you live? I will elicit the
answer.
I will ask a student: What is the less important thing
about the place you live?

Point 5
I will ask the students to read the task in activity 5 and to
work in pairs. I will suggest them to use the information in
activity 4.
I will walk the class listening to their conversations.

INTEGRATION ACTIVITY
Point 6- HOMEWORK
I will ask a student to read the task. I will ask another
student to tell the class what they should have to include
in the E-mail.
Expected answer: Tell him that I am living in a new
house. Tell him the difference between my old flat and my
new flat. Invite him to my party!

MOVING HOME
1) Listen to the podcast and decide which sentence is correct.

2) Read these questions and then listen to de podcast. Put a tick

in the correct column.

Sometimes you need to put a tick in both columns.


3- Read this questions and sentences. Answer and complete the gaps when it is necessary.
Then, listen to
the audio to

4) Read these suggestions below and number them according to

degree of importance. Put number 1 in the box if its the most

Write your e-mail in 40 - 50 words.
