LEE RANALDO - "BETWEEN THE TIMES AND THE TIDES" - 2012

tab by Chris Lawrence (silvercircle@shaw.ca)

note: these songs have a lot of guitar overdubs and i've aimed to really only
tab the core of the song, i.e. Lee's parts .. the idea was that you could just
play these songs alone on acoustic guitar and they should sound pretty good.
i hate trying to tab rhythms so often i'll only list the chords, if the rhythm
is straightforward when listening to the song.
according to interviews with Lee, there are 7 tunings used on this album.
he shared some in a guitar magazine, and i believe i've figured out the rest.
please let me know if any seem wrong.

03. XTINA AS I KNEW HER

tuning: DA#DFCA#
although i've indicated open strings in almost every chord here,
it's kind of deceptive. the root notes should be emphasized with
the option of adding in the ringing open strings..it should be clear
if you play along w/ the song.
the first minute or so is mostly behind the bridge picking and
12th fret harmonics while the main guitar arpeggiates the
first chord of the below riff. eventually the sliding riff starts.
A#---0------0--0--0--0--0--0-C----0------0--0--0--0--0--0-- ---10^12~~-F----0------0--0--0--0--0--0-D----0------0--0--0--0--0--0-- the intro lead starts on the above note

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------05. HAMMER BLOWS

i'm not going to indicate the fingerpicking in this song, it should be pretty cl
ear
if you listen to it. i try to indicate "stay on this chord for a while" by spaci

it far from the next chord, but listening along is probably the easiest bet...
intro:
