Roles & Responsibilities

of various officials & officers on implementation
of 'Core
Insurance Solution' and set-up of 'Central Processing Centre' for PLI & RPLI and
processing of requests in CPCs where the request received - reg.

As you aware that prior to implementation

of 'Core Insurance Solution' (CIS) and
set-up of 'Central Processing Centre' (CPC) for PLI & RPLI at HOs, the work of PLI &
RPLI was being performed at Divisional, Regional and Circle Offices.
The work was
mainly being done at Divisional Offices and case files were being sent to Regional and
Circle Offices, where required for further processing and approvals/sanctions.
2.
However, on implementation
of 'CIS' system and setting up of CPCs of PLI &
RPLI at HOs, the entire processing of new proposals and various service requests have
to be done in CPCs itself.
The role of Divisional,
Regional and Circle Offices in
processing of cases manually has been eliminated and now, competent authorities
(SPOs/SSPOs,
PMG, CPMG/DPS)
at Divisional or Regional or Circle Offices have to
approve cases, both new proposals
& claims as per limits pr,escribed, in the 'CIS'
system itself.
3.
In 'CIS' system various new terms like Indexer, Data Entry Operator, Quality
Checker, Approver etc. are used. Although, those terms with roles are clarified during
the trainings & workshops
and also vide this office letter No. 29-37/2012-L1
dated
20.11.2013 to Pilot Circles (copy enclosed), need is felt references have been received
for intimating the roles & responsibilities
and functions to be performed at various levels,
since some of the offices are reportedly not performing their functions.
4.
