SCOPE OF WORK:
The project includes installation of numerous concrete duct bank sections to be installed at the CLT airport, with
associated manholes and hand holes, to provide pathways for future primary electrical service, future airport
communications fiber optic cabling, and future FAA communications fiber optic cabling. Duct bank sections
include approximately 6600 linear feet of 15 way- 6 plus 4 way 4 conduits encased in concrete, approximately
13,800 linear feet of 4 way- 4 conduit encased in concrete, and various shorter sections of 15 way- 6, 4 way-6, 2
way- 6, 6 way-4 and 2 way-4 conduits encased in concrete. The majority of the duct bank installation is inside
the Airport Operations Area, and the project includes some runway and taxiway closures. The project also
includes three segments of 48 jack & bore steel pipe totaling approximately 770 linear feet, and approximately
1800 linear feet of non-encased 4 way - 4 conduit bored under existing aircraft rated pavement.

Pre-Bid Conference: Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference is not mandatory, but is strongly encouraged. All
visitors to the CLT Center are required to show photo ID and obtain a visitors pass from the CLT Center front desk.
Please allow time for this procedure as the Pre-Bid Conference and Bid Opening times can NOT be changed for any
reason. Preferred brand alternates, to the extent applicable, will be addressed at the Pre-Bid Conference.
