(i)

Find the area bounded by the graph - = 1, the -axis, and the line

 = 1 in terms of 1, given that 1 < 1 < 1

either

using first option (1 to c, c is a negative number): 1/3 - 1 - c^3/3 + c

= -2/3- c^3/3 + c
second option: (c to -1, c is a positive number): c^3/3 - c - (-1/3) -1
= -2/3 + c^3/3 - c
where c is a positive integer the equation is
-2/3 + c^3/3 - c
this will give a negative solution so actual equation is 2/3 -c^3/3 + c where c is a positive integer

from previous question where c is a positive integer the equation is

-2/3 + c^3/3 - c
this will give a negative solution so actual equation is 2/3 -c^3/3 + c where c is a positive integer
A = 2/3 -c^3/3 + c
8+^
-c^3/3 + c = 2/3 - 8
= -22/3
-c^3/3 + c + 22/3 = 0
-c^3 + 3c + 22 = 0
c^3 -3c - 22 = 0
