ABSTRACT

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE USE OF MICROSOFT


POWERPOINT ANIMATION AND THE LEARNING
INTERESTS OF SEMESTER II FEMALE STUDENT
IN THE SUBJECT OF ANTENATALCARE I
AT ACADEMY MIDWIFERY
HELVETIA MEDAN

Visual-based media (image or resemblance) plays a very important role in
the learning process. Visual media can accelerate the process of understanding
and strengthen memory. Visual media can also grow students' interest and bridge
the content of learning materials to the real life situation.The purpose of this
study was to find out the relationship between the use of Microsoft Power Point
Animation and the interest of semester II students at Akademi Kebidanan
Helvetia.
The population of this correlation study with simultaneous cross-sectional
approach was 440 and 84 of them were selected to be the samples of this study
and the data used were primary and secondary data.
The result of statistical test using chi-square test at level of confidence
95% with = 0.05, df = 4, showed that P < table (0.000> 0.05), which means
that there was a significant relationship between the use of Microsoft power point
animation an the interest of semester II students at akademi kebidanan helvetia in
2013.
This scientific paper is expected to be able to be used as areference for
further study and to help the readers finis their scientific writings related to the
use of animation in the subject of antenatal care I and learning interest.
