Students Internship Programme

Internship is provided to the students who are undergoing education in


approved engineering institutions. Students have to apply for their internship at least
4 months before the commencement of training/ internship. Admission will be given
to selected candidates based on their merits and seats available. Students will not
be charged any fee for such training. The Application format for Internship to be
submitted by the students is given in Appendix -A. No stipend/ financial assistance
is payable to the interns.
The application should clearly indicate the course undertaken by the candidate,
the university registration number, the regulation under which the internship is a
requirement and the duration of the internship desired, including the starting and
ending dates. This application should be routed through the head of the department
of the college, in the recommendation, as given in in the same form.
The results of selection of candidate will be intimated generally within 15 days
of receipt of application in the office, through e-mail only. The selected Candidates
are expected to make a call to the following office, 7 days prior to the reporting to
the internship and get the joining instructions.

Candidates are expected to follow the Rules and regulations of the office given
in Appendix B and signed pages need to be attached along with the Application
form.
This office does not commit any way that it will send any personnel to conduct
any examinations of the student trainee, outside its premises. If the university /
Sponsoring Institute intends to conduct an examination, it may be conducted by any
authorized examiner, in the office premises with mutually agreed duration and date.

Appendix B
Rules and Regulations
B.1 At the time of Joining
At the time of Joining the Internship, the interns need to bring the following
1. The Application containing the recommendation from the Head of the
Department, in the given format, if not already sent.
2. Copy of College ID Card
3. Two Passport Size color Photographs (one will be pasted in the Certificate)
4. One Hundred Pages Notebook, ruled.

B.2 Working Days and Hours


The Office works on all week days, except on Holidays earlier declared in
advance. Sunday is a holiday.
The regular Working time of organization is

All the Interns have to strictly adhere to the working days and hours,
irrespective of the working hours of their Parent Institution. Holidays of this office
are applicable. On time attendance is compulsory for all student Interns.
B.3 Dress Code and Appearance
All are required to maintain Professional appearance. Clothing which are found
to be distractive or less than desirable such as T-shirts, Pants with holes / patches
or clothes which are revealing or with offensive or racial slogans, or any other type
of clothing that does not present a professional appearance are not acceptable.
All required to attend to the office with utmost cleanliness. Gentlemen are
required to appear with shaven face unless otherwise warranted due to illness or
religious observations. Ladies with long hair below the shoulders to neatly tie hair
not to let it loose. Wear neat and presentable footwear to suit the office standards.
B.4 Working Equipment and Tools
All the Interns have to bring their own calculators, drawing equipment,
stationeries and Laptops with required software. Pirated Software is not permitted
in the premises. Trainees are fully responsible for the consequences regarding the

Licenses of the software.


Playing Computer / Mobile Games/ Movies or Music is prohibited
No software will be copied into or from the computers/Systems in the office. If
such incidents are found, such trainees will be terminated immediately and legal
proceedings may be initiated against them.

B.5 Work Culture


We Maintain silence in the office. Everybody concentrates and finishes the
works assigned. Shouting / calling names / laughing aloud is not allowed.
Use of Cell Phones is not permitted in the office.
Discussions involving 3 or less members are allowed at a workstation and such
discussions should not disturb others nor should it involve unwanted members as
spectators. Discussion involving 4 or more members should be held at the
discussion table only.
Intra -office and inter wing communications should be limited through intercom
only.
No Personal Text Books should be brought to the office. No text book/ Drawing/
Reference material should be taken out of the office. Text books /Hand books taken
out from the library for reference should kept back at their respective position.
Working Tables should be neat and cleared every day at the end of work.
Switch off the fan, lights and computer when leaving the place for a
considerable amount of time.

B.6 Professional Ethics


All the works done by individuals carried out during the service will be the sole
property of the organization. Individuals cannot claim any credentials for such work,
during and after the service. The Live projects works, Drawings, Documents given
as examples for training purposes are the legal property of this office. Trainees
cannot claim any rights on them and cannot not be quoted by them for any
application for job or any documents.
The Job works, procedures, discussions conducted in the office are of high
professional secrecy. The trainees are not expected to disclose them to anybody
outside the group involved.
Hard / Soft copies of works done by the individuals at the office cannot be given
at the time of leaving the office.

B.7 Site Visits


The interns may have to make visits to the construction sites as needed. All will
have to attended session(s) related to construction safety instructions prior to the
site visits. The expenses for the conveyance, cost of Personal Protective equipment
like safety shoes, Helmets, Goggles, Gloves, etc. need to be borne by the interns by
themselves. It is also advisable to take necessary insurance coverage if the site
visits are frequent. The office will not be responsible for the safety of the interns at
any location.
B.8 Certificates
Certificates will be given to individuals based on their performance during and at
the tests conducted at the end of the training, if he / she has completed the training
to the satisfaction and submitted the internship report. If any individual does not
attend the training regularly, or does not submit the report, the experience/ Training/
Internship certificate may not be given.
