On Wednesday, December 21st, 2016 Arklan
staff and students invite all families to join
them in celebrating the holiday season. Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 students will be
presenting a game-show themed performance in the gym at 12:45 PM, featuring the
coolest host in town, Jack Frost!

For those unable to attend on the 21st,

youre invited to the dress rehearsal on December 20th at the same time .
The snow-date for Arklans Christmas performance is Thursday, December 22nd.
Please join us for a fun, family-oriented
Christmas celebration!

Friday, December 2nd: Red, White, Green Day!

Wear your holiday colours!
Friday, December 9th: Hat Day!
If you have a Santa toque or a Christmas hat, wear it today!
Friday, December 16th: Dress Like an Ornament Day!
Have fun with your outfit...wear bells, throw on some garland...get creative!
Friday, December 23rd: Pajama Day!
Wear your pajamas today...Christmas pajamas, if you have them!

Take advantage of this shopping opportunity to pick up

some quality books and other gift items. The ever-popular
Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled for December 19, 20 and
21. The book fair is open throughout these three school
days. Family members are welcome. Please stop by and
take a look.you may find something you like!

Fun times at Arklan!

On Friday, December 16th well be celebrating with a day long Dance-a-Thon! Everyone will have an opportunity to groove to
the tunes!
Heres the dance schedule:
9:30 to 10:15
Kindergarten students
10:15 to 11:45
Grades 1, 2 & 3
12:35 to 1:55
Grades 4, 5 & 6

Donations of $2.00 per students will be accepted with all the proceeds going towards
benefiting the Arklan students.
Treats will be available for $1.00 and $2.00.
Glow bracelets will also be available to purchase.

Its going to be a fun and colourful event!

Permission slip and payment is due on Friday, Dec. 9.

We sincerely appreciate the generosity of Arklan families. In

the spirit of giving, we are asking for donations to the Family
and Childrens Services Angel Tree Program in lieu of teacher gifts. Every class has the name of an Angel Tree child, of
an age similar to their students Monetary donations will be
used to purchase gifts for these children. We thank you in
advance for your support!

out if the school buses are cancelled due to inclement weather? Go
directly to the transportation website at www.steo.ca. Updates are
posted by 6:15 AM. You can also visit Arklans Facebook page.
Remember, theres no need to call the school if your child will be absent because their bus is cancelled. BUT, please do contact us if your
child is not a bus
student,
and is staying home on a snow-day.
