Welcome Parents!

We are going to be learning the establishment of the English

Colonies in North America. Together the class will be working to explore the reasons
why Europeans came to the New World and how the colonies began to develop. On our
resources page there is a number of websites. One of our resources we will be using is
Pixton.com to create cartoon strips on reasons why people left their homes and went to
America during the time period. Feel free to contribute to our discussion of the cartoons
on our Google Classroom discussion board. Encourage your children to really build a
story for their cartoon. If you can share a story of how your family came to the country,
that would make it even richer!
