Introducing the

Behind closed doors at LDI, Barco showed the latest addition to the EventMaster family,
the EX. EventMaster Ex is a single RU chassis with two EventMaster I/O card slots on the rear
panel. With EventMaster I/O cards, youre getting the power of ImagePro scaling on every
input and output.
EventMaster Ex has two distinct capabilities:
Stand-Alone allows you to run EventMaster as a 4x4 ImagePro matrix scaler with
both 2K and 4K scaling in and out. Think of it as 4x4 matrix of ImagePros in a single
RU chassis with modular inputs and outputs. Eventually youll be able to link
multiple Ex chassis together for even more I/O capabilities.
E2 and S3 Expansion mode allows you to use Ex as an expansion to your E2 or S3
giving you 8 more inputs, 8 more outputs or 4 of each, per Ex chassis! Ex attaches to
your E2 or S3 chassis using the Link capability and cables included with your E2/S3
or optional ber optic links. Eventually, you will be able to link up to 8x Ex to an E2
or 4x Ex to an S3. You are not replacing I/O, youre adding I/O.

How far away can an EventMaster Ex be located from my E2 or S3 Chassis?

The link cables that come with your E2/S3 are 1m long, however Barco does oer a 5m
copper link cables as well as a ber option for up to 100m. 100m of ber would allow you to
use Ex as a Stage Box giving you remote Inputs and Outputs for stage sources, DSMs,
BSMs, etc. Plan carefully as initial availability of the ber option will be limited. We will
release information on ordering the ber option directly from the manufacturer as well.

What I/O can I use?

You can load any current and future EventMaster Input and Output
cards into the two card slots in the Ex Chassis.
How many Ex processors can I attach to my system?
Eventually up to 8 Ex processors on an E2 and up to 4 Ex Processors
on an S3 by using up to 2 Ex processors per link connector
How do I control it?
Control is via Ethernet to a PC running EventMaster Toolset. In
Expansion mode, this is the same PC and EM Toolset controlling
your E2/S3 chassis.
When can I get one?
We are just now demoing Ex. We will taking orders in now and we
plan on the rst deliveries starting in January, 2017.
