NOTICE TO LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS OF CLAIM TO CIVIL RIGHTS

M ay Be Provided To Law Enforcement Officers W hen You Are Approached On Foot or During A M otor Vehicle Stop

In the event that I am subjected to an investigatory stop (Terry stop), a motor vehicle stop, arrest, placed in
custody, detained, or otherwise stopped or questioned by any law enforcement officer or their agent, I declare and claim
the following inalienable rights under the constitution and laws of the United States.
FIRST AMENDMENT - FREEDOM OF SPEECH, PRESS, RELIGION AND ASSEMBLY
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or
abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the
Government for a redress of grievances.
Please take notice I refuse to speak with the police or law enforcement officers except to provide my name,
address and date of birth, upon arrest, or, if I am subjected to motor vehicle stop, to provide my drivers license, motor
vehicle registration and this notice. I refuse to answer any questions about: my activities, where I have come from, where
I am going, my possessions, drugs, alcohol or my associates. Freedom of speech includes the freedom not to speak.
FOURTH AMENDMENT FREEDOM FROM UNREASONABLE SEARCHES & SEIZURES
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and
seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation,
and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Please take notice that I refuse consent to the search of my person, house, papers and effects. This includes my
automobile and any automobile over which I have control. It also includes any other place where I may reside, including
any hotel, motel, tent or other temporary residence. I specifically refuse consent to allow the police to search or view the
contents of my cell phone, computer or any other electronic device.
FIFTH AMENDMENT PRIVILEGE AGAINST SELF INCRIMINATION
No person ...shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself.
Please take notice that I want to remain silent. I decline to answer any questions by the police or any other law
enforcement officers. I refuse to furnish any evidence against myself. I refuse to make any statements.
Except based on a lawful written order issued by a court of law, I refuse to participate in field sobriety tests
such as instructions to recite the alphabet, to walk in a line, to touch my nose, to follow a law enforcement fingers or
other object with my eyes. Field sobriety tests are highly subjective, unscientific and unreliable and potentially could
subject me to false accusations of criminal activity. Poorly trained, biased, or dishonest police officers can too easily
secure false results from this type of testing.
SIXTH AMENDMENT RIGHT TO COUNSEL
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right ... to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defense.
Please take notice that, before I answer any questions, and during any questioning, I want to consult with and
have an attorney present. If I cannot afford an attorney, I request that one be appointed to me. The Supreme Court of the
United States has held that the police must cease all questioning when an individual in custody states that he or she wants
to speak with an attorney or to remain silent. I refuse to waive any of the rights set forth in this notice unless any waiver
is in writing and is made in the presence of an attorney with whom I have had a full opportunity to consult.
