Australia Is Getting Hotter!

It is very cold in Korea these days. Interestingly, however, the weather in Australia is extremely hot! It is
summertime in the country. In fact, the country is getting hotter and hotter. It is so hot that even new co
lors have been added to the weather map! Australia is experiencing record-breaking heat waves these da
ys. As the weather in Australia gets hotter, the countrys Bureau of Meteorology has had to add two new
colors to the weather map to reflect the rising mercury. Currently, the map shows the weather in orange
tones at the top, which indicates temperatures of 40 to 48 degrees Celsius. But some parts of the countr
y recorded higher temperatures. In order to indicate temperatures over 50 degrees Celsius, pink and pur
ple have appeared on the map. The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Australia had experienced temp
eratures above 39 degrees for several days in a row and the trend seems likely to continue. However, Au
stralia isnt the only country suffering from record-high temperatures. The U.S. also had its warmest year
on record last year.
